Overview
The Ramset™ Hollow Wall Anchor™ is a very versatile and strong cavity fastener, designed for use in such sheeting materials as plywood,
hardboard and plaster etc. when the reverse side of the material is inaccessible.
An important point with this anchor is once the anchor has been set, the screw may be removed frequently without affecting the anchor.
It could also be removed to enable a person to paint the surface, or wallpaper it and yet the anchor would still be securely in place,
since it does not protrude outside the wall surface. The small washer situated under the head of the screw acts as a lubricant, preventing
the screw head from seizing against the face of the anchor.
This, in conjunction with the anti-rotation prongs, will prevent the anchor body from rotating during tightening of the screw. If the
screw is over tightened, this washer will break and extrude out from under the head.
The Hollow Wall Anchor™ is sometimes used with the Ramset™ heavy duty utility hook (THH6800). A truly versatile and quite strong metal general purpose
hook used for hanging pictures, paintings, lightweight mirrors, decorative wall pieces etc. Naturally the hook could also be used with any type of screw,
anchor or toggle bolt using “Q” diameter screws.

Installation
- Drill the correct size hole, 8mm and insert anchor. Tap the head of the anchor in until the prongs are embedded into the wall.
- Tighten anchor screw with screwdriver or hollow wall anchor setting tool (P/No. SETHWG (Gun)) until a definite resistance is felt. The anchor is now set. As the screw is tightened, the legs of the anchor expand and are drawn up against the inside of the wall with an even pattern ensuring a very secure vibration proof grip.
- Remove screw, place object to be fastened in position, replace screw and tighten
